POWERSTROKE
The year 1994-1/2, Navistar's 7.3L 444 CID V8 Direct Injected Turbo Diesel engine hit the streets. It's called the POWERSTROKE. It is also referred to as PSD, DI, DIT, but no matter how you look at it or what you call it, the technology speaks for itself and was/is a major hit and didn't take long to be a big seller. With it's unmistakable sound and power, a new breed of diesel is out there with a large loyal following. Some call it a modern day hotrod, adding all kinds of after market accessories. Ford now sells more diesel than gas engines in the F-series superduty trucks.
